*Preview* The TCG Home Card Detail Page

We are excited to share some exclusive details about our upcoming TCG Home platform! As you know, TCG Home is a next-generation digital trading card management tool designed to make managing your collection easier than ever before. While we are still in the final stages of development, we wanted to give you a sneak peek at our card detail page.

At TCG Home, we understand that the card detail page is at the heart of our platform. That’s why we wanted to take the time to get it right. We began by collecting all the details we wanted to show, including card images, rarity, set information and language. We then moved on to our first scribbles, sketching out different layouts and ideas for how to present the information in the most intuitive way possible.

The first sketch

The Magic card store has long been a staple of gaming culture. Thanks to the growth of the game in recent years, many cities and suburbs now have a Magic specialty store – and if not, you usually don’t have to travel far to the nearest LGS.

Selling cards at a conventional Magic store has some advantages and disadvantages. Of course, you’ll need to bring all the cards you want to sell if you sell in a real store, which can quickly become difficult if you want to sell a large quantity of cards.

On the other hand, in most regions of the world, you’ll fetch a higher price for your cards in a Magic store than in any other retail outlet. And you’ll also get cash quickly when you need it. The experience is usually very customer friendly and places a high value on community. However, in some areas where many Magic stores are close together, stores may compete with each other, resulting in lower prices than you can get elsewhere.

Another disadvantage of selling cards at the local game store is that prices can drop quickly if you sell a large collection, for example. Buying a large collection on the spur of the moment means a lot of work and a lot of time for a game store, since every single card you offer will be resold. This effort does not pay off for the store if it does not buy large quantities of cards for reduced prices.

The first draft

From there, we proceeded to some design mock-ups. These went through many iterations as we tested different ideas and gathered feedback from our team as well as from some selected TCG Vault users.

Current design

Finally, we arrived at the a design which we are happy to share with the world. We hope it will provide the best possible experience for you, but of course we are open to feedback! It is a comprehensive view of all the information you need about your cards. Divided into use cases, so you can quickly find the information you need at any given moment: Collection Management, Trading and Game Insights.

We can’t wait for you to try it out and see for yourself how we approached the design of our card detail page with care and attention to detail.

Thank you for being a part of the TCG Home community! We appreciate your support and enthusiasm as we work hard to bring our platform to life. While we continue to prepare for launch, we would love to hear your feedback and encourage you to connect with us on our updated Discord server or via email at info@tcg-home.com.
